When I was in my mid-teens, probably one of the lowest points in my life, where I would never want to relive, might I add? I was such an unconfident person, with zero personality, who would spend hours on end on the computer without leaving my bedroom. I was scared to leave my bedroom, absolutely petrified.
I am heading to London on my own for two nights. Yeah, not as exciting as my New York and Maine trip in 2010, 2011 and 2013, (also went on my own), to meet two great friends, but still, never in a million years would I ever think that I would/could have achieved the confidence to visit these places on my own. When you’re so wrapped up and absorbed in negative feelings along with crippling anxiety, and continue to feel as if you can never change the way you are, just remember, things can and they will change. How? Believe that it can. Implement positivity into every aspect of your life, regardless of how negative the current situation is. Positivity is the key.
At work, June for us is a really busy month, our team consider it ‘peak’ – that pretty much means that we’re unable to take any time off within that month, due to work commitments. I have three holidays that I have accumulated so far this year and haven’t used – so I decided to take Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off from work. What will I do with my time off? Well, check this… I decided to book a spontaneous trip to the beautiful city of London. This trip was so spontaneous, I only made the booking 72 hours ago! Whoaaa! (From my experience – unplanned, spontaneous trips are always the best!)
The purpose of this blog post is confirmation to you, that whatever you may be going through right now, that your current situation, is a temporary feeling and that things can dramatically change, for the better. I am proof of that. Try finding the positive in every situation you go through, regardless of how negative your current situation is.
Keep telling yourself, that what you are currently going through is a temporary feeling and that your situation, can/will only last hours, days, weeks or months.
**Update – 16/05/2019**
I am back! What a great experience, I feel fully motivated, mentally cleansed and ready. I did originally take my vlogging camera, with the intention to produce a few vlogs – but I genuinely felt uninterested in vlogging, and wanted to focus my time absorbing the positivity that London offered – I know I made the right decision! (I wish I knew that before I packed. The backpack would have been so much lighter, haha).
However, I did take a few photos for my personal Instagram – and they are as follows:
